Safari Run opened in San Mateo in 2006, founded by Jodi Eichensehr, a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer since 1990, and Rob Eichensehr. Twenty years, locations across California and Texas, and 500,000+ families later, we're still doing what we built it for: giving kids a clean, safe space to run wild while parents can relax, or jump in and play if they want to.
The boys wanted fast slides, big padded ladders, and animals. Jodi and Rob wanted safety, cleanliness, and structured fitness. Safari Run was the result - a fitness-based indoor jungle where what kids want and what parents need finally share the same room.
Twenty years later, that idea holds up. Kids come to run, climb, and party. They don't notice the workout, and that's exactly the point. Every jungle is designed so kids leave tired, parents leave trusting the space they walked into, and the whole family already wants to come back.

Founders, Safari Run
Every Safari Run is built for movement, visibility, and peace of mind, so kids play hard and parents can relax.
Every pad, the play structure, and the floor are disinfected each night, with periodic checks throughout the day.
Every guest washes up before and after play so everyone stays safe.
Our cleaning routine is built with allergy-sensitive kids in mind so every family can join in.
